Bromo Volcano is one of the most beautiful place to visit in Indonesia. Located on East Java, in the center of Massive Tengger Caldera, Bromo and the surrounding area have many superb things to offer, such as The Bromo Culture of old Java Hindus people, The fantastic sunrises, the hospitality of the Bromo people, the adventure trekking to explore the caldera, etc.
The last eruption of Bromo started on November 2010 until May 2011. During the eruption time, many people from all around the world visit this volcano to get some beautiful strombolian and vulcanian eruption. The eruption of Bromo made the traveling become more special.The Bromo sunrise from Penanjakan View point become the most favorite thing to do. The trip starts from the Hotel at 3.30 am. The traveler must rent a jeep to get to the view point right on time. After enjoying the magnificent Bromo sunrise, the jeep will take you down to the caldera. And then, the travelers walk for more or less 30 minutes to the crater of Bromo. The Jeep will take you back to the hotel after you finish enjoying the Volcano.
How to get to Bromo is very easy and cheap. The fellow travelers only need transport to Purbolinggo Bus Terminal, may start from Surabaya, Jogjakarta, or Bali. It is better for them to arrive on that Bus terminal before at 2.00 pm. Next, wait for the mini bus which will directly take you to the Hotels on Bromo surrounding. The way back is the same. After the travelers get to the Bromo area, don't forget to order jeep for the superb Bromo sunrise, cost IDR 275.000,- per Jeep. The travelers may join the Jeep with others tourists, it is cheaper of course. There are many hotels also on the surrounding. The budget travelers or rich travelers may choose their own right places.
